3-Cheese Sausage Lasagna Roll-Ups

Ingredients:

12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained

1 lb Italian sausage, crumbled

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

2 cups marinara sauce

1 egg, beaten

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Preparation:

Cook the Sausage:

In a skillet, cook the crumbled sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

Drain excess fat and set aside to cool slightly.

Prepare the Cheese Filling:

In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper.

Mix until smooth and well combined. Stir in the cooked sausage.

Assemble the Roll-Ups:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Take a lasagna noodle and spread a generous amount of the cheese and sausage mixture over the noodle.

Roll the noodle up tightly and place it seam-side down in the baking dish. Repeat with the remaining noodles.

Top with Sauce and Cheese:

Once all the roll-ups are in the dish, cover them with the remaining marinara sauce.

Sprinkle any leftover mozzarella or Parmesan cheese over the top.

Bake:

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serve and Enjoy:

Let the lasagna roll-ups rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley, if desired.
