Air fryer chicken thighs

Ingredients:

 

4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

2 tablespoons of olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 teaspoon of onion powder

1 teaspoon of smoked paprika (or regular paprika)

1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme or rosemary (optional)

For Honey Butter Sauce:

 

1/4 cup (1/2 stick) of unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons of honey

1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon of paprika (optional)

1/2 teaspoon of parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

 

Prep the Chicken Thighs:

Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to ensure crispy skin.

Rub both sides of the chicken thighs with olive oil.

Season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and thyme or rosemary.

Preheat the Air Fryer:

Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.

Cook the Chicken Thighs:

Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin-side down.

Cook for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time to ensure even crispiness.

Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer; it should reach 165°F (74°C).

Make the Honey Butter Sauce:

While the chicken is cooking, prepare the honey butter sauce.

In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, honey, garlic powder, paprika, and parsley. Stir until well combined.

Coat the Chicken:

Once the chicken thighs are cooked and crispy, remove them from the air fryer.

Brush the honey butter mixture generously over the chicken thighs, making sure to coat each piece.

Serve:

Serve the chicken thighs hot, garnished with extra parsley or herbs if desired. You can pair them with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes, rice, or a simple salad.

Tips:

 

For extra crispy skin, make sure the chicken is patted dry before seasoning.

You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey based on your preference.

If you like a bit of heat, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the honey butter sauce.
