Old Fashioned Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce!!!

Ingredients

Two cups (250 milliliters) of milk

 

60 ml, or 1/4 cup, of ghee or butter

 

two eggs, whisked somewhat

 

one hundred twenty-five milliliters ($12) 5 cc (1 teaspoon) of sugar nutmeg or cinnamon powder

 

one milliliter (about 1/4 teaspoon) sea salt

 

half a liter, or six cups about six pieces of soft bread cut into cubes.

 

raisins, 12 cups (125 ml), salt to taste

 

Top with heavy whipping cream if preferred.

 

Preparation

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). While the butter is melting and the milk is becoming hot, combine the two ingredients in a 2-quart (1.9 L) saucepan and cook over medium heat.

 

2-Combine the eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a large basin. Mix in the bread squares and raisins. Combine the milk and stir. Transfer to a deep, non-stick skillet.

 

3-Bake, without cover, for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted cleanly about 1 inch (2.5 cm) from pan edge. Top with whipped cream and serve warm.
