Ingredients:
1 box lemon cake mix
1 can (about 400 g) sweetened condensed milk
120 ml (½ cup) fresh lemon juice
👩🍳 Instructions:
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
Make the crust & crumble:
Reserve about 1 cup of the dry cake mix.
Mix the rest of the cake mix with 1 egg and ½ cup melted butter (if your version truly uses only 3 ingredients, skip egg/butter and just press half the mix as-is—it’ll be more crumbly).
Press firmly into a greased baking dish to form the base.
Prepare the filling:
In a bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice until thick and smooth.
Assemble:
Pour the lemon mixture over the crust.
Sprinkle the reserved cake mix on top as a crumble layer.
Bake for 25–30 minutes until the top is lightly golden.
Cool completely, then chill for at least 1 hour before cutting into squares.
✨ Tips:
Add lemon zest for extra zing.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving (optional but delicious).
Chill well—it helps the bars set perfectly.
