- 1 ½ lbs (700 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons butter (or olive oil)
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions:
- Prep the Shrimp:
Pat shrimp dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper. - Cook the Garlic:
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, until fragrant (don’t let it burn). - Cook the Shrimp:
Add the shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque. - Add Flavor:
Stir in the remaining butter, red pepper flakes (if using), and lemon juice.
Toss shrimp to coat in the buttery garlic sauce. - Serve:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
