Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls Recipe

Ingredients:

      • 10 egg roll or lumpia wrappers
      • 10 slices of ham (or deli ham)
      • 10 slices of cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or Swiss)
      • 1 beaten egg (for sealing)
      • Oil (for frying)

Optional Dipping Sauce:

      • 2 tbsp soy sauce
      • 1 tbsp vinegar
      • 1 tsp sugar
      • 1 tsp sesame oil
      • Chopped green onions or parsley

Instructions:

    1. Prepare the Filling:
      • Lay one egg roll wrapper flat (corner pointing toward you like a diamond).
      • Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese in the center.
    2. Wrap It Up:
      • Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides.
      • Brush the top corner with a bit of beaten egg and roll tightly to seal.
    3. Heat the Oil:
      • Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat (about 350°F / 175°C).
    4. Fry Until Golden:
      • Fry the rolls for 2–3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crisp.
      • Remove and drain on paper towels.
    5. Make the Dipping Sauce:
      • Mix soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, and green onions in a small bowl.
    6. Serve:
      • Sprinkle a bit of parsley (optional) and serve hot with the dipping sauce.
