Ingredients
For the dough:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp instant yeast
¾ cup warm water
1 tbsp olive oil
For the filling:
3 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp chopped parsley
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional: grated cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
For frying:
Oil for deep frying
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Make the dough
In a bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
Add warm water and olive oil.
Knead until smooth and soft (about 8–10 minutes).
Cover and let rise for 1 hour (until doubled in size).
2. Prepare the filling
In a pan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
Add mashed potatoes, parsley, salt, and pepper.
Mix well and let cool.
(Optional: mix in cheese for extra flavor)
3. Assemble
Roll out the dough into a thin sheet.
Cut into small squares.
Place a small spoon of filling in the center of each.
Fold or seal edges (or sandwich with another square).
4. Fry
Heat oil over medium heat.
Fry in batches until golden brown and crispy (2–3 minutes per side).
Remove and drain on paper towels.
